The mission of the CUNY Postdoctoral Association (CUNYPDA) is to support and elevate postdoctoral researchers at CUNY, to the benefit of postdocs and CUNY alike, and act as an organized voice of the CUNY Postdoctoral community to the CUNY administration, to advocate for postdocs, and to liaise on matters that impact the postdoctoral community.
The National Postdoctoral Association was established as an organization dedicated to improving the postdoctoral experience. Their mission is to support a culture of inclusive connection at the individual, organizational, and national levels.
RFCUNY employees receive non-wage compensation in the form of benefits. Learn about and enroll in an array of medical, nonmedical, retirement, and other benefits and programs offered to employees. RFCUNY’s goal is to provide you with well-balanced coverage that allows you to create a package of health benefits suited to your needs and your budget. Some of the benefits available to you require contributions on your part and some are provided by RFCUNY at no cost to you.
All RF employees are required annually to complete the mandatory Violence in the Workplace and the Workplace Harassment Prevention training.
All new hire and rehire Postdoctoral trainees must complete their pre-employment portion in the RFCUNY Onboarding system. This is an important step in placing an employee on the Research Foundation’s payroll.
The payroll process is how the RF pays employees for time worked. Employees are paid on a biweekly pay period. The RF timesheet system is the mechanism by which employees submit their timesheets.
The paid time off accruals as detailed in the Time Off and Leave Benefits policy applies to all RFCUNY employees unless otherwise provided for in collective bargaining agreements.
