New at the RF: Introducing the P-Card Request Application Tool

The Research Foundation of CUNY (RFCUNY) is pleased to announce the release of its latest addition to its website, an online application tool for Purchasing Cards (P-Cards): the P-Card Request.

This online solution will empower Principal Investigators (PIs) to seamlessly initiate P-card applications from the RFCUNY website, allowing PIs to specify the cardholder, and P-card amount, and indicate the project to be used for P-card transactions. The new electronic P-card submission process will automatically route P-card applications to applicants and authorized signatories for electronic review and signature through DocuSign. Using this solution, campus-authorized approvers do not need an RFCUNY user account to acknowledge requests.

Key benefits include:

• Removal of Personally Identifiable Information (PII): Following the revised form published on the RFCUNY website, the new tool eliminates the need to collect PII from applicants.
• Simplified Process: Allows PIs to initiate applications through RFCUNY’s website.
• Real-time Tracking: An audit trail will allow users to know what their application status is.

To access the P-Card Request, an authorized user would log on to their profile on the RFCUNY website, go to the Electronic Tools menu and select P-Card Request.
