RFCUNY Grant Budget & Expense Report Understated Budget Remaining Balance

Published on: 07/13/2026

The Research Foundation of the City University of New York (RFCUNY) has identified and implemented a resolution for a temporary issue with the RFCUNY Grant Budget & Expense Report.

Due to the fiscal year (FY) transition from FY2026 to FY2027, the RFCUNY Grant Budget & Expense Report is currently displaying duplicate payroll obligation amounts. This duplication is a result of payroll obligations that extend into FY2027 which are being counted twice, resulting in understated project budget remaining balances.

Upon learning of this issue RFCUNY immediately updated the RFCUNY Grant Budget & Expense Report to eliminate the duplicate payroll obligations. However, the revised report does not currently include the FY2026 payroll obligation for June 29 and June 30 in the pay period ending July 12. This is a temporary issue and will be corrected once that payroll has been processed.

To access the revised report, use the Workday search bar or the updated report link available on the PI or GO Reports Dashboard. The revised report is not accessible through saved reports in OneRF’s Workday platform or the My Reports section of the user profile.

If you have questions about specific grants on your campus, please submit a case in OneRF and our team will respond as soon as possible.
