Information on the Partial Government Shutdown

The U.S. federal government is in partial shutdown as the limited continuing resolution funding the Department of Homeland Security expired on February 13, 2026. Congress has already passed 11 of the 12 full-year funding bills for fiscal year 2026, meaning all other departments and agencies of the federal government are funded through September 30, 2026. The Research Foundation of the City University of New York has reviewed our portfolio of sponsored programs and expects minimal impacts on research at CUNY. We will continue to monitor and will notify the CUNY research community if there are any changes.
