The NYS Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services is offering funding to help nonprofits enhance security and protect against potential threats. Visit FY2025 Nonprofit Security Grant Program to learn more. 

 

Available Funding:

  • Urban Area (NSGP-UA): $28.4M for nonprofits in NYC’s five boroughs, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties.
  • Statewide (NSGP-S): $3.56M for nonprofits outside the NYC urban area.

Grant Details:

  • Up to $200,000 per site (maximum of 3 sites per area, up to 6 sites total).
  • Organizations can receive up to $600,000 in total.
  • Each site requires its own vulnerability assessment.

Eligibility:

  • Nonprofits must be prequalified in the NY Statewide Financial System (SFS) before applying.Learn more about prequalification.

Deadline:

  • Applications due January 13, 2026, by 5:00 PM.
  • Questions accepted until January 6, 2026, at noon.
