Introducing RFCUNY Focus Time

This year, the Research Foundation of CUNY (RFCUNY) will be instituting RFCUNY Focus Time – two weeks where our staff can dedicate their work, energy, and expertise specifically to organizational upgrades and internal processes. RFCUNY Focus Time will begin August 18, 2025, and run through August 29, 2025. RFCUNY’s full operations will resume after Labor Day, on September 2, 2025.  Please be patient with our staff’s response time during this period.

RFCUNY Focus Time is not a complete work stoppage. It is simply a temporary pause in processing incoming and pending activities of a routine nature, as well as those that are not time sensitive.  Urgent and time-sensitive responses as well as critical operations will continue through RFCUNY Focus Time. 

RFCUNY has seen first-hand the benefit of focused, collaborative work. By temporarily pausing some routine and less-urgent work now, we will be able to prioritize tasks required for necessary technological upgrades, system enhancements, staff discussions, and training on evolving work processes, better positioning us to be a more responsive partner for CUNY through the upcoming semester and academic year.
