General Description
The Math Supplemental Instruction at Kingsborough Community College is a federally funded college program. The program provides non-credit math workshops for students who have failed the developmental math class two or more times. The program is seeking a motivated Math Supplemental Instructor to instruct the math workshops.
Other Duties
- Create a pre-test to determine the student’s level of competency.
- Teaches college-level Pre-Algebra and Algebra courses.
- Prepares course syllabus and daily lesson plans.
- Assess student progress and learning outcomes
- Maintain record of student’s attendance and class performance.
- Instruct math workshops of 10-15 students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in a field related to Mathematics.
- Previous experience teaching preferred.
- The ability to connect with college students is essential.

These functions include legal assessment and signing of agreements where RFCUNY is named as a fiscal agent; setting up award accounts; preparing sub-awards and assisting PIs in monitoring the work of the recipients of sub-awards; supporting project directors with hiring and managing research project and sponsored program staff; supporting the purchasing and paying for goods and services with grant and program funds; managing financial aspects of projects including accounts receivable, financial reporting, invoicing, budget monitoring, and cost compliance with uniform guidance; ensuring that sponsor financial requirements are met; monitoring compliance with applicable project and financial management rules and laws; supporting the management of independent and external audits and financial reviews; and providing data, information, management expertise, and other supports to CUNY’s research and sponsored programs.
