General Description
We are seeking applications from highly motivated, strong candidates for an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position at Hunter College, City University of New York, in Dr. Shahana Mahajan’s laboratory located at Belfer Research Building (Weill Cornell Medical College). Our lab is focused on investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying osteosarcoma progression and investigating drugs for the potential treatment of osteosarcoma. The candidate is expected to execute experiments analyze and interpret experimental findings. The candidate will be involved in manuscript writing and the preparation of figures and diagrams for publications, statistical analyses, and presentations. The candidate must present results in lab meetings, collaborate with members in the lab, and contribute intellectually to the project. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and support the daily operations in the lab. The candidate will be encouraged to write proposals to seek fellowships/funding. Experience with animal models, mammalian tissue culture, and bioinformatics is preferred.
