General Description
The Visualization and Virtual Reality Lab in the Computer Science department at Hunter College has two Virtual Reality (VR) Research Assistant openings for research projects in Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality. The Graduate Research Assistants (GRA) will work with a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science, Hunter College. The GRAs will be responsible for desigining and building VR applications in Unity3D, running user studies and writing up the results into a publication. The positions are paid hourly without benefits at $16-20 per hour (depending on qualifications), 10 hours per week for about six months. The position is very flexible with regards to location or other arrangements depending on the expertise of the applicant.
Other Duties
- Supervise other students with VR research projects
- Serve as Teaching Assistants for undergraduate students' VR projects
Qualifications
- Background in Virtual Reality programming and/or Computer Graphics is required
- Having a prior relevant publication in VR is a plus
