General Description
The Experimental Nuclear Physics Group at Baruch College, City University of New York, is seeking to hire a Post-Doctoral Fellow to conduct research under the supervision of Professor Stefan Bathe. The group is involved in leading positions in the sPHENIX experiment at RHIC and the ePIC experiment at the future EIC. Candidates are expected to take on leadership roles in the ongoing and upcoming sPHENIX data taking campaigns, data analysis, and publication. In addition, some fraction of the time should be spent on ePIC simulation studies and detector component tests. Candidates should have a strong background in experimental nuclear or high energy physics, or related fields. The position is available immediately.
Other Duties
The position will be based at Brookhaven National Laboratory, with travel to other locations for experimental work or conferences/workshops as appropriate. Collaboration with other scientists and students in the experiment, and in particular with the students in our group is expected. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A PhD in nuclear or high energy physics or a related field is required.
