General Description
The CUNY ASRC’s Environmental Science Initiative seeks applications from individuals with field experience in ecology, plant physiology, or soil science.
Duties will consist of field work for an ecological study of residential yards in and around the city of Baltimore, MD. The primary focus of the field work will be related to plant physiology and soil hydrology. Some laboratory preparation and computer data entry will also be required.
Applicant should be able to work effectively as part of a team. Physical requirements include: kneeling, crouching and standing for long periods of time, and hiking while carrying field equipment (no more than 50 lbs) for up to 1 mile. Some driving of a field vehicle may be required. Must enjoy summer field work (hot, humid conditions). Prior field work experience is strongly desired.

Education related to ecology, botany, hydrology, geology, or environmental studies leading to a bachelor’s degree.
Previous experience working in a research environment.
