General Description

The Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) was established in 1988 to ensure that students in grades 5-12 who are at risk of dropping out of school achieve academic and personal excellence, graduate from high school and enter post-secondary education or the workforce as highly competent young adults. The program provides supportive interventions for these students, such as skills assessment; tutoring; academic, family, and personal counseling; regents prep, SAT prep and other enrichment activities. This program is funded by the NYS Education Department.

Medgar Evers College Liberty Partnerships Program support students from the following targert Schools:

  1. Aspiration Diploma Plus HS
  2. Clara Barton HS
  3. Boys and Girls HS
  4. Mott Hall Bridges Academy

We are seeking an individual who can do the following:

  • Tutor students in Chemistry
  • Work with other LPP team members to meet program mandates
  • Help to facilitate MEC LPP program activities

Other Duties

  • Help to facilitate MEC LPP workshops and other program events as needed

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a HS diploma
  • Experience working with young people

About the Research Foundation

The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) was established as a not-for-profit educational corporation chartered by the State of New York in 1963.
