General Description
Kingsborough Community College, Office of Continuing Education & Center for Workforce Development (CEWD), is seeking a part time experienced CompTIA Network+ instructor to join our team. The instructor will teach a synchronous and remote non-credit course that will prepare learners to successfully pass the CompTIA Network+ certification exam. The instructor should have a passion for training and supporting adult learners from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on instruction and practical training to prepare students for the CompTIA Network+ exam.
- Assist learners with CompTIA’s CertMaster Learning Management System (LMS) and supplemental resource materials (CertMaster Learn, Lab, and Practice)
- Monitor learner success and provide guidance as needed
- Maintain appropriate records of attendance
- Provide insight into career tracks and prepare learners for entry-level positions in IT
- Work closely with the Program team to identify learner needs and provide support
- Participate in recruitment events and recommended professional training programs
- Administer pre- and post-course survey and assessments

Qualifications -
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 Years of teaching experience with adult learners
- Current CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Work experience in information technology
- Ability to work with groups of varying ages, skills level, and socio-economic backgrounds
This position is scheduled to start September 2022 and run for 12 - 15 weeks
