General Description
Department of Computer Science at Hunter College, CUNY is seeking for a Bioinformatics Programmer in web and software development. The candidate is expected to process large text files, develop web services and graphic user interfaces for machine learning applications, and implement machine learning algorithms as robust software in collaboration with drug discovery companies.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements: The incumbent must have a B.S. or M.S in Computer Science; strong programming skills in Python, HTML, and CSS; experiences in web service development using Gunicorn/Flask/Dash or other web development framework; knowledge of relational database management system; effective communication skills; and are self-motivated and independent.
Preferred qualifications: Familiar with statistics and machine learning methods; knowledge of biology or chemistry; experiences in distributed computing using Spark.
