General Description

Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing psychosocial, substance abuse, psychiatric rehabilitation and risk assessments, especially with high risk clients, assessing needs for higher level of care, regularly screening and safety planning; Provide crisis intervention services for de-escalating situations of acute distress; Collaborate with individual and collaterals in developing clinical treatment plan to support the individual's goals and path to recovery; Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy to clients with mental illness; Help individuals prevent relapse, manage symptoms, strengthen wellness and achieve person-centered goals; Collaborate with and refer individuals to appropriate service providers; Attend clinical case conferences/in-service training sessions/program development meetings; Participate in research projects if needed.

Qualifications

Master of Social Work with New York State License; Must be skillful in clinical intervention, strengths-based approach and cognitive behavioral therapy; Sound knowledge of city-wide community resources and mental health systems; proficiency in English/Mandarin to conduct clinical therapy required.
