General Description
A research technician position is available in the Vuong laboratory at The City College of New York (www.bqvlab.org).
Responsibilities of the Research Technician include, but are not limited to: conducting an independent research project; assisting in molecular biology and immunology experiments; participating in lab meetings and journal clubs; attending national or international conferences; maintaining and genotyping mouse colony; and managing laboratory operations, such as ordering supplies and maintaining reagents and equipment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and will be able to work independently and in a team environment. BA/BS in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is required. Candidates with experience using genetically engineered mouse models and laboratory skills in molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, or genetics are preferred.
