ActionNYC Releases Concept Paper

Published on: 9/7/2017

The City University of New York (CUNY) and the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) are pleased to release a concept paper in order to solicit feedback from stakeholders for two potential upcoming Request(s) for Applications (RFAs). These RFAs aim to support community-based organizations and legal service providers to deliver immigration legal services to hard-to-reach immigrant communities.

Access the ActionNYC Concept Paper for Immigration Legal Services for Hard-to-Reach Communities.

Provider feedback is being solicited before RFA release through three mechanisms: (i) a Community Engagement Forum to speak directly with stakeholders; (ii) a survey (to be released) where stakeholders can submit feedback electronically if they are unable to attend the Forum; and (iii) an email address for stakeholders to submit comments generally.

ActionNYC is interested to hear feedback and ideas on the program design and budget to help shape this RFA. Provide feedback by:

  1. Completing the provider survey, which should take less than 10 minutes: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ANYCConceptPaper, or
  2. Sending an email to ActionNYCapplication@rfcuny.org with the subject, "Feedback for the ActionNYC Concept Paper."
All comments are due by Friday, September 22, 5PM. ActionNYC is committed to incorporating provider feedback into the final RFA(s), wherever feasible.

IMPORTANT: If an organization is interested in partnering with other community-based organizations as a part of a collaborative or consortium, please either complete the survey OR send the name of the organization, its interest in applying as a community navigation site or an immigration legal services provider, phone number, and name of a contact person to ActionNYCapplication@rfcuny.org. ActionNYC will post a list of all interested providers on this website along with the RFA materials, which will allow organizations to seek out their own potential partnerships. Submissions are encouraged no later than September 22, 5PM. Please use the email subject, "CBO Interested in Looking for a Partner Org."
