Four CUNY faculty have received grants totaling almost $2.3 million in connection with the National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) program. During 2015-2016, there were approximately 7 applicants from CUNY, but no winners. During 2016-2017, there were 21 CUNY applicants and 4 winners, 3 of which participated in the Research Foundation, CUNY Peer Review Program. The Peer Review Program was conceptualized and implemented in 2016 by the Office of Award Pre-Proposal Support (APPS) at RFCUNY. APPS supplemented the Peer Review Program with NSF CAREER Award workshops for CUNY faculty.
