Neuronal Functions of Fibroblast Growth Factor Homologous Factor
The thirty year history of Professor Goldfarb’s research has resulted in the discovery of a new family of proteins, fibroblast growth factor homologous factor (FHF). Through a $382,000 NIH grant, he studies abnormalities, diseases or syndromes resulting from mutations affecting FHFs. He advises junior faculty, “Hit the ground running; the landscape will change in ways that you may or may not be aware of as you progress in your career.”
