Expanding Diversity Among the Nurse Workforce
The Jonas Center for Nursing Excellence awarded Professor Georges $300,000 to increase the number of Latinos entering the nursing workforce. Dedicated to expanding diversity in nursing for over 23 years at Lehman, Professor Georges still derives great satisfaction from seeing her students excel as nursing professionals. She advises junior faculty, “Don’t go it alone; connect yourself with people who have good track records and work with them.”
